Get to Know Our Dental Practice

Dr. Kal Dhaliwal was born and raised in Surrey, BC but eventually moved to Edmonton before going into dentistry. After graduating Dentistry from Boston University in 2015, he moved back to Edmonton and had been practicing as a dentist for 6 years before moving to Kelowna in 2021.

Dr. Kal prides himself in helping patients feel more comfortable while helping them with their dental health, whether it is getting them out of pain, or making them feel more confident in their smile. Dr. Kal brings fun and positivity to Alpha Dental. He takes time to get to know his patients, and his friendly nature brings ease to children and anxious patients. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is excited to continue to provide excellent care to the current patients of Alpha Dental Centre, and welcomes new patients.

Outside of work he loves spending time with his spouse Meagan and their two dogs – Hugo and Oscar. He enjoys playing basketball, soccer and going to the gym. Recently, he and Meagan took up skiing. If you see him on the hill, don’t laugh!

Meagan was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She and Dr. Kal moved to Kelowna in 2021. Growing up spending all of her summers camping in West Kelowna, Meagan is so excited to call the Okanagan her new home. She manages Alpha Dental Centre and also works at the office as a Dental Hygienist. When she is not at work she loves running outside, going on hikes with Dr. Kal and their two pups, and skiing during the winter.

Meet Hugo and Oscar, the adorable dental ambassadors! These lovable canines are on a mission to spread smiles and promote good oral hygiene. When not on the clock, they enjoy going for walks, playing with toys, indulging in treats, and going for refreshing swims in the lake. Follow their journey as they bring joy and promote dental health wherever they go.

Carina grew up in Red Deer, AB but has lived in Kelowna for the past 18 yrs. Her first summer job was in a dental office when she was 14. Learning to love the dental field she went on to graduate in 1993 from Loma Linda University in California with her Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Her warm, calm and gentle manner make her a favorite with patients. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four kids, their hobby farm and the out doors.

Lydia was born and raised in the Lower Mainland. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at the Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene in Vancouver. She recently moved to Kelowna with her husband this summer. They have two cats and a little Yorkie puppy at home. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors, by going to the lake in the summer and hitting the ski slopes in the winter.

Tiffany has lived in the Okanagan her whole life and set roots in Kelowna in 1997. Tiffany graduated the CDA program in 2004. In 2017 she transitioned to the front desk to help assist with all your booking and billing needs. Her knowledge and warm personality will make your experience at Alpha Dental very welcoming and enjoyable. In her spare time she likes to go skiing, camping, visit wineries and spend time with her family and 2 dogs. 

Danika is originally from the small town of Tulamean, BC and moved Kelowna in 2020. Danika graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant from Vancouver Community College and loves being a part of the Alpha Dental team!! She will welcome you with her warm smile and gently guide you through your appointment.

She enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing at Apex, snowmobiling, and various water sports!
